A well-established favourite among our market customers, this loaf is handmade with 100% freshly milled wholegrain NZ spelt, and packed with a mixture of gold and brown linseed, blanched almonds and sunflower seeds. No flour improvers, conditioners, preservatives, extra gluten or any other additives. One of the oldest of cultivated grains spelt is naturally high in fibre, and contains significantly more protein than wheat. Spelt is also higher in B complex vitamins, and both simple and complex carbohydrates. Another important benefit is that some gluten-sensitive people have been able to include spelt-based foods in their diets.

 

This bread contains both sourdough and fresh yeast.
